Clayton’s family decided to wait an extra day before having his funeral services. The Oliver Springs High School football team had made it to the playoffs and the big game was going to be on Friday night. We knew that Clayton wouldn’t want the team and students any more upset that they already were.

 The staff and students at Oliver Springs High School pulled together at a very difficult time and organized a half time memorial for Clayton. It had only been two days since Clayton had passed away. Feelings of shock, confusion and disbelief were masked by feelings of numbness while wondering, HOW COULD THIS HAVE HAPPENED TO CLAYTON???

The Bobcats won the game and advanced to the next level in the playoffs.
